Jon was sure Reuben would find that amusing in the very least, to have no record of one's existence.
"Think we should let 'em meet?"
"I don't know. Might be worth talking to her and finding out a bit more from her side of things."

"According to the duty roster she should be in Armoury. Malcolm'll be down there too." Trip informed John. "Want me to come too?"

"No, I'll be all right, Trip," he replied, "I do want you to check Shuttlepod One over though, make sure nothing is at fault. T'Pole, you have the Bridge," he said and the Vulcan woman nodded wordlessly.

Ensign Mitchell entered the Armoury after having her shower and getting changed into a clean uniform. She moved to the cabinets and began to check over each weapon, checking they each had a power unit and the unit was fully charged and not faulty.

Malcolm was not long in coming in after and nodded with approval. All his staff knew what he expected from them and they did their jobs admirably. His eyes rested on Mitchell for a moment before moving to join her knowing she would be aware of his approach.
"How are we doing for power units?" he asked, it would be good to get some work done in the Armoury, he had been practically on the Bridge and on the away team for the most part thus far.

Dani turned her head to look at him and nodded her head as she replaced one of the phase pistols. "We're good, sir." She replied and took out the next weapon and power unit. "Plenty of spare power units in the storage case near the torpedoes."

"Good. Wouldn't do too run out," he replied nodding as he watched for a moment before the opening of the Armoury doors distracted him. Archer strode in and made a beeline for them when he spotted the pair.
"Sir," he nodded as Archer reached them, "Any news?" Something in Archer's expression told him that the Captain didn't want the name revealed just yet.

Thinking that Archer was after Malcolm she put away the pistol. "I'll test weapons somewhere else." She said and began to close the locker door.

Archer gave an almost awkward smile before speaking, "If you don't mind Malcolm, mind if I borrow Ensign Mitchell here and your office?"
Malcolm blinked slightly, not really having expected such to be said but he shook his head slightly all the same, "Not at all, Captain."
"Thanks. Ensign," Captain Archer breathed, gesturing at her to follow him as he moved for Reed's small but well organise office. Well, it was more or less an office. Archer was grateful when Malcolm told any crewmembers working too close by to work somewhere else.

When Archer requested her she turned sharply. "Me... me.. sir?" She watched him, not having a clue as to why he wanted to speak to her. She reluctantly followed him into the office and stood with her hands clasped behind her back, standing straighter. Captain Archer had never spoken to her before, and she had no idea why he wanted to know, so many questions were going through her mind.

"Yes You," he smiled, amused somewhat. Most aboard had come to know that Archer was more or less nosy in his ways around socialising with his crew. He sat in Malcolm's chair, frowning slightly as he recognised the backbone, "Ensign, Relax. I just want to talk," he said casually as he thought on how he was going to go about this.
"I was just thinking a little while ago that our personnel records aren't as complete as they ought to be. I know T'Pol is in charge of that but she deserves a little break. I wondered if you'd like to add anything to your own. sides your career... you've done more than admirably," he said.

She shook her head slightly. "There's nothing else to know, sir. Everything pertinent to my job here on Enterprise is in the file." She had relaxed but only slightly, her hands still behind her back.

"Oh?" he looked at her for a moment before deciding truth was probably a good policy. After all, if they did know each other at one point in their lives, no matter what point in time, they had been friends and she deserved to know.
"All right, Ensign... just one last thing before I let you get back to work. Does the name Reuben Boch mean anything to you?" he said with an expression that stated he wanted an honest answer and wasn't about to take anything less. He was pulling rank but sometimes being the Captain had its advantages.

Her facial expression remained the same. "Reuben Boch?" She repeated the name to make sure she had heard him correctly. After a few seconds thought she began shaking her head. "I've never heard that name before, sir. What's this about?"

He watched her for a moment, "Could just be coincidence, but he rescued us down on the planet we were just on. Seems he's human, speaks English very well and ah, well, says he was once friends with you. Trip ran the name, and you popped up. We found no other person who shares the same name, Ensign.

"Says he knows me?" She repeated again. "What else did he say?" Her reactions indicated that she was telling the truth and didn't recognise the name.

"Apparently," he replied, "But it does seem very weird that he would know your name if you've never met."
"Says the last thing he remembers is being with his friend - you and then finding himself in the Delphic Expanse." he replied slowly. "Sure it doesn't ring a bell?"

She turned away from him for a few seconds then looked back. "I swear I don't know that name, Captain. But..." She paused trying to think how to explain things to him. "I still don't have all my memories back."

He tilted his head slightly as he watched her. Memory loss? That certainly helped to clear up why she wouldn't have known or remembered.
"Perhaps meeting him or seeing his face would help jog your memory?" he proposed softly.

She quickly shook her head. "No." It was obvious she was scared of that. What if he was lying to everyone and was really there to kill her. She had no way of knowing. "Sir... I have weapons to check... may I... may I return to my duties?" She returned to her original posture, but she was still showing fear in her eyes.

"You wouldn't be left alone," he said, "I'm not forcing you. He's staying for a couple of weeks till we reach the planet he asked us to drop him off at. It's only a thought," he replied, "It's just that he seems to genuinely miss his friend," he shrugged. Who was he trying to kid. There was much about Reuben that was strange and peculiar.
He eventually just nodded his dismissal before peering at Malcolm's console. He later rose and with another thanks to his Security Chief, left the Armoury.
-
Malcolm had been working alongside another one of his staff but he had been eyeing them, wondering what was going on. He finished up and moved to her, "You all right?"

For several seconds Dani was just standing there, almost as if she hadn't heard him. She stumbled back a little bit, collapsing into the torpedo rack. Her hand gripped onto it to stabilise her fall where she sat on the floor, still conscious.

He acted out of instinct more than anything else as his hands reached out to help make sure she didn't hit her head. Armoury wasn't exactly the best place to faint. "Ensign," he said again, bit more firmly just to make sure she could still hear and understand him, "You okay?" he asked, wondering what on Earth Archer had said to her.

Other officers in the armoury gathered around to find out what was going on. Dani was silent for several seconds, her hand still gripping the torpedo rack as if it was the only thing keeping her conscious. "Lieutenant, Sir.... May I be excused?" She requested, trying to stand up.

He frowned, "As long as you're not going to fall again. You should go to Sickbay," he knew it wasn't smart letting her stay on any more till she had time to get her thoughts back in check. "Do you need someon to come with you?"

Slowly she nodded her head as she clumsily got to her feet.
Archer reached his ready room and sat in his chair. Porthos was happily lying on his bed in the corner. Before long there was a chime at the door. "Come in." He called.
The door opened and Trip walked in. "Cap'n." The door closed behind him. "So... Is it the same Dani Mitchell?" He queried, being the only other person that knew what was going, he knew he was the only one John could talk to.

"All right. Webster, you're in charge," the man just nodded as Reed helped her.
Archer glanced up as Trip waltzed right and he sat back in his seat. "I honestly don't know... but it seems she has a few memory problems in that regard. I asked if she recognised the name but she said she didn't."

She held onto Malcolm as he led her out of the Armoury and along to sickbay where Phlox began to examine her.
"So she's from the past as well? Do we know how far back they came from?"

"She going to be all right, Doctor?" Malcolm asked, concerned for his officer, worried what Archer had said had been harmful.
"Well, Boch mentioned the NASA shuttles so maybe a few years inside or outside of then," he shrugged, this whole thing had him going in circles. Boch was human though and as such had rights no matter who he was. The fact that he knew Dani Mitchell without any input from them was interesting.
"That's a hundred years at least!"
"Possibly. We don't know that she is yet. I asked if she was willing to meet or see a picture of him but she snapped up like a closed book. I'm going to ask Malcolm to keep an eye on her. Knowing him, he's already suspicious,"

After looking at the results of his initials scans he looked at them both. "I can't find anything wrong with you. Has anything happened like this before?"
Dani, who was feeling a little better already, shook her head. "Not for around eight years." She replied. It seemed as though the truth about her past was coming to light.... at least the truths that she could remember.
"He is a bounty hunter sir... Maybe she's scared he's after her, especially if she has no memory of him." He suggested, placing his hands on his hips.
